Koos Zwart Award 'for Doede de Jong on sun-drenched sixth Cannabis Liberation Day 2020

AMSTERDAM - Organic weed grower Doede de Jong, sentenced to a confiscation claim of half a million euros for cannabis cultivation, received the Koos Zwart Award during Cannabis Liberation Day. This prize is awarded every year by the coffee shops united in the PCN, to a person who has made exceptional efforts to legalize and normalize cannabis. The festival attracted a record number of visitors this year.
"This year the Koos Zwart Award could not go to anyone else," said PCN spokesman Ricardo Hewitt at the presentation. The prize is named after Koos Zwart, cannabis activist from the very beginning, who died last month. The presentation was a moving moment on an otherwise especially cheerful day.
